Courts are now following up for statuses on active foreclosure matters and asking plaintiffs to advance cases when appropriate. Here is an example where the Suffolk County Supreme Court has requested a status on one of my cases and directed plaintiff to discontinue the action (if settled) or to move for a Judgment of Foreclosure and Sale (if the property is vacant and abandoned).
